Environmental Chemistry Laboratories
Chemical analysis of soil, plants and waters from preparation through to analysis using techniques ranging from pH/conductivity to ICP-OES. The lab is IANZ accredited for many tests and scope is available on the IANZ directory as Landcare Research Palmerston North. The standard tests available are listed on the Manaaki Whenua public website at http://www.landcareresearch.co.nz/resources/laboratories/environmental-chemistry-laboratory/services. The facility is also an MPI transitional facility and can receive dried and ground plants and soils from overseas for analysis. We also maintain the National Soil Archive. Main analytical equipment includes ICP-OES, Flow injection analyser, LECO C& N Analyser for solids, Elementary C & N analyser for liquids
