New Zealand Geothermal Analytical Laboratory is based at GNS Science in Wairakei, Taupo. 2012 the lab had a full up-grade, including facilities and equipment, enabling analyses of a vast array of geothermal and groundwater samples ISO/IEC17025: 2017 accredited water and gas analyses for geothermal, groundwater and environmental applications.
