Sensor Network

The GeoNet sensor network is a 699 station geohazard monitoring network, spread across mainland New Zealand and offshore islands. It acquires multiple data types (seismic waveform, GNSS, relative sea level, structural movement, gas flux, environmental parameters) and transports this data via a complex Wide Area Network (WAN) to the IT infrastructure platforms.
